Description![]() The thin, very green foliage of the bog lily looks like a big daylily. It grows well in streams and wet-seeps. A large block of these plants looks very impressive when in bloom - large white flowers are 2-3 inches across with five connected petals. Native to the southern U.S., it needs a sunny exposure and moist soil or water to 6 inches deep. In colder zones, bring the plant to a greenhouse or indoors with adequate light and water before the first frost. Repot in the garden when outdoor temperatures have steadied to 70F or higher in late spring or early summer.
